The Concord Monitor illustrates why the candidates are making so many trips to New Hampshire and why the state's vote is more important than ever before. While three of the past five elections here have come down to a 1% margin, rarely has the electoral vote been predicted to be so close. There are several scenarios that could happen where the candidates would end tied at the dreaded 269. Being that New Hampshire is the swing state with the fewest electoral votes, it still retains a role at being able to get those last few votes that put the candidate where they need to be.
