New Hampshire knows they are important
New Hampshire citizens know how purple their state is. Every poll says a different thing! Democrats are afraid if they loose New Hampshire the rest of the battleground states would start to fall, Republicans are making the push for the same reason.
What if Sandy was a week later???
This article discusses the "what if's" associated with a catastrophic event on election day. To sum it up, there is no plan if something were to happen. No nationwide plan or even state plans are in place in case of emergency. To me this seems like poor planning and I don't know why this has not been addressed.

Mitt Romney to hold one last campaign rally in New Hampshire
This shows how close this election is in New Hampshire, a state that neither candidate paid much attention to a month ago is now a large focal point. Both candidates realize how close it is and how important its four electoral votes are.

270 or Bust!

The Concord Monitor illustrates why the candidates are making so many trips to New Hampshire and why the state's vote is more important than ever before. While three of the past five elections here have come down to a 1% margin, rarely has the electoral vote been predicted to be so close. There are several scenarios that could happen where the candidates would end tied at the dreaded 269. Being that New Hampshire is the swing state with the fewest electoral votes, it still retains a role at being able to get those last few votes that put the candidate where they need to be.

Put Out the Obama Fire; Its Down to the Wire!

The Romney swing has not slowed down here in the Granite State. What was a 15 point lead for Obama just weeks ago has become a Romney lead. Like several perfectly executed 4th quarter Tom Brady touchdown drives, Romney has stormed through the debates gaining greatly on the once sure lead of the President. The poll results remain a dead heat however, and at this point it is anyones game. All the swing states are extremely close, which makes the seemingly small 4 electoral votes of New Hampshire even more important. One more debate remains and all eyes will be waiting to see if Romney's comeback in the polls continues or if the President will be able to gain back some of what he lost. While the race is nowhere near over, it sure has grown far more interesting than it was only a month ago.

Romney knows how important New Hampshire is
This article talks about how in two example scenarios the four electoral votes could decide the election. That is how close all of these swing states are and how every electoral vote counts. The closeness of presidential election has spilled over into the senatorial and the gubernatorial races making this state even more important to both parties.

campaign ads nonstop in New Hampshire
Although the candidates have not spent much time in this state physically, both have aired a ridiculous amount of campaign ads. Since January, on one single television station, the two candidates have aired over 6000 ads and spent more than 30 million dollars!

The importance of New Hampshire's four electoral votes
Although Obama leads in most polls, the presidential race in the granite state are tighter then ever. This seemingly forgotten swing state has returned to relevancy with a visit by the president last Thursday. And Romney has said he plans to visit the state sometime in the next two weeks before the election.

Romney Pulling Close; Wait and See for Tomorrow's Impact
As we near the second presidnetial debate, Romney has gotten closer than he's been. The latest polls, as of October 10, have Romney within 6 points of Obama.

Poll number released today by USA today, show that Romney has gained a large amount of grouund with female voters in all of the key swing states and this is what may be bringing him close. Tomorrow's debate will be a turning point for Romney however, to see if he can get evened up with Obama for the first time or fall back to where he was. The first debate showed a great leap for Romney but the Obama camp will surely be ready to fight back in this one. The vice-presidential debate seems to have little impact on the state of New Hampshire and all eyes are pointing to the last two debates to be the deciding factors for November.

Third Party Candidates could steal votes from Romney
In an election where every vote counts, two right of canter candidates risk stealing votes from Romney in key swing states much like Ross Perot did to George Bush in 1992 election. These two candidates, one from the Libertarian Party and the other the Goode the Constitution Party nominee. although they are on the ballot in under half of the states, they both have grass roots followings in New Hampshire which could split the Republican vote and give the election to Obama.

Romney camp loosing steam in New Hampshire
This article talks about how although Romney has sunk considerable time and money into New Hampshire, he trails Obama in the polls by almost 15%. Voters feel that they can't relate to Romney about how big government is and how bad Obama has handled the economy as New Hampshire's unemployment rate is at 5%. The 4 electoral votes the Granite state holds look to be almost a sure thing for
