American Research Group conducted a phone survey of 558 voters showing the election to be a near tie.  Obama has only a 2% advantage that falls within the sampling error.  The results also show that 41% of voters approve and 46% disapprove of the way Obama is handling the economy.  As the graphic from the American Research Group shows, the race has tightened significantly since June as the election swings into high gear.  These poll results were in before Romney's recent controversial "47% entitled victims" quote caused a national stir, however.  The effects of this will likely make a noticable mark on the polls in New Hampshire, but just how much will be interesting to see.  The consequences of one quote like this can be forgotten in the long run, but there is not much time remaining as we near Novemeber.
